Gazhul

Gazhul

A language for making our map of reality explicit.

Most languages obscure their own boundaries, presenting discrete words as if they were natural categories. Gazhul makes the structure of our conceptual map visible, allowing us to better navigate the continuous nature of reality. Instead of using words as fixed labels, Gazhul treats them as dimensions that modify one another. By combining these dimensions, speakers can pinpoint specific regions of experience with increasing precision, an approach which acknowledges both the fluidity of existence and the utility of our conceptual boundaries.

About

Gazhul (gajul /gä.ʒʌl/) translates roughly to "horizon anchoring" (or more expansively: "collective expanse of patterns grounding in deliberateness").

Gazhul's connection to the Reality Undivided series: In the world of Vasca, Gazhul is the mostly undeciphered language of a lost civilization. The series follows Sam as she works to understand her reality, and along the way, the "language of reality" (Gazhul). This process of discovery is itself part of the story.

Gazhul is currently in active development. Detailed documentation (including grammar, vocabulary, and writing system) will be made available here as the language matures.
