Lifetimes Infinity's plan for achieveing mind uploading is to develop human-like artificial intelligence that will be coupled with state-of-the-art brain-computer interfaces to create an exocortex (external artificial mind). Along the way to developing full mind uploading technology, we aim to provide cognitive enhancements for those who have lost abilities and those who want to extend their capabilities. We will use our resource to employ as much of a top-down approach as possible (more AI focused) to speed up the process, while still meshing in what we can from a bottom-up approach (more faithfully reacreating the brain).
Our first step is to develop software (NeuraNex) that will allow us to quickly and efficiently create and train neural networks. The next step is to construct and training neural networks to emulate the various functions of the human brain. Eventually we aim to create networks that extend beyond the natural limits of the human brain. Once combined with brain-computer interfaces, this will help pave the way for cognitive enhancements (connections between human minds and AI).

To build toward mind uploading, Lifetimes Infinity will mainly be piggyback of hardware technologies made by companies like Neuralink. We will need nano-micro scale brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) with two-way communication (ability to record and stimulate) in order to implement our prospective products and ultimately build devices capable of uploading minds.
BCI with 10,000 – 100,0000 electrodes (read/write) that interacts on the neuron level.
BCI with 500,000 – 5,000,0000 electrodes (read/write) that interacts on the neuron level.
Custom hardware (some type of neurmorphic computing device) that efficiently runs the Mindframe software.
BCI Hardware + Software
Mind Modules are neuroprosthetics (replacing lost brain functionality) and cognitive enhancements (extending functionality of the brain). These are the building blocks that we can build off of to create more advanced technologies like AGInt and Exocortex. These will be created through both bottom-up and top-down approaches.
AGInts are like Mind Modules, but this level of neuroprosthetics and cognitive enhancements will offer significant benefits and features allowing humans to be much more connected and in tune with AI system.
The exocortex is the digital brain outside of the human brain that allows for the transfer of the mind from its biological substrate (the human brain) to this new digital substrate. The exocortex is not necessarily an entirely independent artificial mind in itself, but more of a framework on which a mind could arise, be instantiated on, or be transferred to.
The exocortex is comprised of the Mindframe software on the Brainframe hardware. Together these form the minimum technology required to perform the mind uploading procedure.
Note: Mindframe is to Brainframe what the mind is to the brain.
NeuraNex is an application used for creating, managing, training, and analyzing artificial neural networks (ANNs). It will be utilized in building most of the artificial mind software needed as we progress toward mind uploading.
Neo Slicer is AI software that builds connectome data from Brain Data such as brain slice scans. Once NeuraNex is fully developed, we will decide whether this software is necessary to build. If there is enough Human Brain Connectome data available for us to start building Mini Minds then we will likely skip this step and only return to it if necessary.
Mini Minds are software that replicates brain functionality on small levels. This is where NeuraNex helps our development. Imagine trying to build a video game level without a level editor. Now imagine trying to build a brain, neuron by neuron, without some way to abstract to different information levels. With NeuraNex, networks of all sizes can be built modularly and strung together (there’s a lot of repetition in biology, which is the inspiration for having the ability to create modules). Over time we will build small pieces and put them together to build bigger pieces that perform larger functions, taking inspiration from the brain. We'll use these bigger pieces construct artificial mind frameworks, allowing us to create neuroprosthetics and exocortex modules (cognitive enhancements).
Built upon the Mini Minds projects, this software replicates brain functionality on much larger levels. Each Hue Mind project will seek to emulate a different brain region.
Built upon the Hue Minds projects, the Mindframe software will be a fully functional artificial mind framework that allows for another mind to be grafted / transferred onto it.
